Today in Math, Maya practiced her times tables and she reviewed topics covered, thus far in Topic 8. In Lesson 8-5 she learned the rules that apply when dividing with the numbers 1 and 0. Maya practiced solving these kinds of division problems. She demonstrated her quick grasp on these new concepts. She did an outstanding job, independently. In, Lindamood-Bell, Maya read a chapter book where we were able to devote some extra time, due to me covering an extra 30 minute class that I subbed for her teacher, Miss Debbie. Maya obviously enjoyed this activity and was able to answer questions that were pertinent to the story. She chose a part in the chapter, the gestalt, and described the image she had created which matched. She was detail oriented and took it another step further by creating an actual picture through MindCraft. She used her words to describe this picture and then wrote a caption which represented her picture. In Fast ForWord, she continued her program, breaking her high score in Dog Bones. Super day, Maya!
