Patrick continued to work on his lesson about the Dodo bird and how it became extinct. We re-read the short story so that all of the information would be fresh in his mind. Next, Patrick worked through the comprehension activities. He did an excellent job using his decoding skills to figure out unfamiliar words. He also did a great job using context clues to figure out words. Patrick wrote beautifully on the short answer questions at the end of the lesson. He worked with a smile on his face the entire time!
