Brandon and I spent some time on his Intercultural Communication Discussion Board posts, reading the article about how females in France are prohibited from wearing Islamic scarves and then posting a response to this issue. In general, Brandon expressed that from a political standpoint, this issue was a way of ensuring that women were not hiding weapons of terror, but from a civil liberties point-of-view, this was completely unacceptable.
