Today Patrick and I reviewed the concept of inferring and I introduced him to specific vocabulary and phrases to use when inferring (I infer, I believe, Maybe, I predict, My guess is...). Then we played Guess Who using a vocabulary or phrase. After that Patrick reread level D Frog is Hungry. His fluency improved tremendously:) Next, I asked him some inferential thinking questions that he answered successfully:) Lastly, we finished our read aloud Flat Stanley, Flat Again.
