Patrick and I spent some time this morning organizing his classroom. His backpack has some things he wanted to take home:) Next we played Guess Who to warm up with inferencing. Patrick did an excellent job using inferencing vocabulary to make his guesses. Then he reread Frog is Hungry. After that Patrick read sentences based on the book to identify nouns and verbs within sentences. He was successful. We discussed how all sentences need to have a noun and a verb. Then Patrick took a 5 word spelling assessment on /ow/words. He spelled 4/5 correctly. Lastly, we started a new read aloud Invisible Stanley.
