Lesson Outline
We discussed things that Brad likes to do and read about. He wrote that he enjoys math best. We looked at the states map and found Florida and other states. He and I completed a states puzzle. We discussed weather and directions. Brad drew a compass rose and we pointed and walked in directions South, North, East, West SW, SE, NW and NE and wrote them and read them.

Brad did a little writing and then enjoyed the social studies lesson. I was able to incorporate reading in the directions and when he wanted to say weest show the difference between west.
