Patrick decided he would like to visualize and verbalize another "small moment". He described , using structure words, the details about a time he played paintball with his brother. I used the "hamburger" diagram to explain to him that he needs a beginning, middle, and ending. I jotted notes for the beginning part of his passage. Patrick learned to to provide the setting (where, time). He did a nice job providing an image for his readers. We also discussed crafts such as alliteration and onomatopoeia. Great start!
