Reading - Introduce vocabulary - ambitious, drowsy, lounge, agonized, revived, dwelling, pondering, and vapors. Explain that some words have multiple meanings, such as, lounge - as a verb - to pass time lazily or as a noun- a room for lounging or being at ease, also a noun - a couch or sofa…give other examples of words with multiple meanings. Then read/discuss orally "Voice from Vesuvius" using context clues to determine word meanings. Devon had a good session!
