Lesson Outline
Patrick completed the second half of the lesson we started a week ago. We began with the quick drill in reverse and reviewed welded exceptions. Next he did written dictation on the big white board. He did five sounds including short and long vowels and a welded exception. Next he wrote five words with suffix ed or s, and completed a sentence. The dictation is his least favorite but listening to and repeating the sentence is good practice. Next he read a portion of a story on ice fishing. Lastly, I read him a story he selected on Hurricane Katrina. Afterwards he told me as many facts as he could remember and he did a great job. This seems to be one of his favorite parts of the lesson.
