Cal finished the diagnostic test. He did quite well. He was a bit intimidated by long division with large numbers (e.g., 316,422 /322) but overall, he did well. We finished up by going over solutions to problems with which he had difficulty.

I'm getting mixed signals here. Cal seems to think he's been through Pre-Algebra almost twice--and his diagnostic test results suggest that he's right. Ergo, he feels maybe Pre-Algebra is not the place for him. I told him that we'd continue with Pre-Algebra for a couple of weeks and then re-evaluate.
