Today Will completed the following activities on Fast ForWord: Quack Splash, Toad Loader, and Wood Works. In the activity Quack Splash, Will began by reading a passage. Then he had to answer ordering questions about what he had just read. This was the most challenging activity for Will today. Will did very well on the Toad Loader activity. In this activity Will had to choose the correct sentence fragments to correctly describe a picture. Will did very well determining the prepositional phrases, appositive phrase and commonly misused verbs. In the activity Wood Works Will had to listen to a word and determine which vowel sounds were in that word. These sounds include long –o, oi, ou, and schwa.
