Lesson Topic
Mary's Jane Eyre Essay
Lesson Outline
I handed back to Mary a marked up and commented upon paper. Her task was to find out what was wrong with the sentences that I had underlined. I taught her to read her paper aloud to herself and see what she says but has forgotten to write (she caught lots of subject-verb agreement issues). We then worked on sentence structure in three preblematic sentences. She did well and had lots of ideas on how to fix. I pinpointed some vocab issues (not many; this is greatly improved). Her homework is to continue reading her paper out loud and see what needs fixing.
Assignment
Read Lady Chat. paper out loud and find any issues before the teacher (moi) has had a chance to mark it up. Find the errors before your teacher does.
