Lesson Outline
As we reviewed the letter B, Becca started naming objects that started with the letter be such as “boy, baby, ball). We read the Bernstein Bears letter B Book and then wrote all of the words that began with a B on the whiteboard. Becca traced the letter B on her paper and sorted pictures that started with the initial sound. She did a great job sorting and sounding out words that began with the letter B.
We read the Magic School Bus story about colors and paired up the colors to corresponding markers or crayons. Becca made a picture of the Magic School Bus with the blue crayon because she said “B is for blue”. We also read an interactive story about the colors of fruit on Raz-Kids. Beccca listened to the story two times before we began our compare and contrast activity. Becca did a great job at comparing the two stories and matching the colors with the correct fruit. Tomorrow we are going to use the same activity but we are comparing hot and cold items.
Becca loves her Farm Animals book and for homework had to read it to two people at home on Friday. She read the story to Nancy and to Noah on the way to the fair! She said they both liked the book and they also like animals.
Becca went Potty at 10:30 after snack.
