First, Bobby and I explored Reading A to Z, and he selected books within Social Studies that were of interest to him. Our goal is to incorporate more leveled readers into our sessions. Next we began to read about two more counties in Florida: Okeechobee and St. Lucie. Bobby discovered that there is a Navy Seal Museum in Ft. Pierce, so we researched that online and talked a bit about military history. Next, Bobby continued working through the E-Studies Weekly site, reading about Florida history, and reviewing Native American peoples. He completed numerous comprehension questions as he looked at authentic pictures, read articles, and listened to articles.
