Lesson Outline
I assessed Analise testing which lower case letters she could read and identify in the alphabet. Then, we completed two phonics worksheets, where Analise identified the picture shown and underlined the letter a or b in each word. She did excellent with this task and was able to identify each letter in each word with no trouble. Analise and I took a few breaks in between the two hours in order for her to release built up energy that she had from doing school work in the classroom. This seemed to help her stay focused while completing work. Then, Analise explored an educational website called starfall. com. On this website Analise practiced phonics and number identification. Annalise and I read a math story that incorporated number identification. In addition, Analise counted to 50 without any help. Finally, we created a bumble bee out of black and yellow construction paper that represented the letter B, and brainstormed words that began with the letter B.
