Analise did a great job following directions and staying on task today! We started out the day doing our Morning Work; The calendar, weather, ABC's, counting to 100 and counting by 10s! She did really well transitioning from 39-40, 49-50. 59-60 and so on.. If she gets stuck transitioning from 39 to 40, Ill ask her what's the first number she sees in 40, (4)then she is able to get it right away, realizing that it's 40! We also played a game using logical reasoning to sort and classify! We used cards with pictures of four different types of animals. Each animal had a different color and there were baby and adult animals. Together we came up with different ideas to sort them.
We also learned about George Washington and the Cherry Tree. We read a story about it and then played a math game using the cherries on the tree. We identified the symbols (+plus and -minus). She did an amazing job adding and subtracting up to 3!
We worked on letters B,C&D, Upper and lowercase and learned a song to help remember the letter sounds! She completed pages A-D for her alphabet book and they are adorable!
We will also be practicing writing her first and last name in her handwriting book every day!
I am very proud of her for working so hard today!
