Today we did some work in The Explode The Code, Book A. One of the things she had to do was to identify a picture in a group that was different. Some of them were quite tricky, she got the majority of them correct on her own and was also able to explain to me in detail why it was different! We also did a lesson where I read direction aloud and she had to use the clues to find the correct picture and circle it. She was able to find the correct picture every time before I was finished reading the clues. I reminded her that she should always listen to the entire clue/direction before making her choice! We continued our lesson on classifying and worked on a big puzzle classifying different things. It was very challenging and there were a lot of pieces but she did exceptionally well! The highlight of her day was our outdoor exploring. We visited the school's garden and observed the growth of the plants, then we collected several different leaves of different sizes and shapes. After measuring and placing them in order from smallest to largest we did a leaf rubbing! We also logged onto Brain Pop jr. and did a few reading lessons. Analise had a great day!
