I am so excited about Analise's progress today, she keeps amazing me! Firstly her handwriting has improved, her letter formation is so much better in the couple weeks she has been here! She is able to write her first and last name with just a little bit of help remembering how to spell her last name but no longer needs help forming the letters. She is so proud of herself, the look on her face when I tell her how amazing she's doing is priceless! :-)
We watched the Leap Frog Letter Factory ABC phonics video today to reinforce the letter sounds. She doing such a great job and is retaining everything I teach her!! This is a great video, you can purchase it or Google it and watch it online (the 35 minute version). She can sing the entire song with help!
We worked on letters Hh and Ii today and created letters for our alphabet book! We practiced writing the letters and brainstormed words that begin with those letters and drew them on the white board!
We played a game of memory, we put objects under paper cups and she had to lift them to find a match. This was a lot of fun!!
We also did a lesson on addition and subtraction using manipulatives, she understands both adding and subtracting and is able to complete problems using numbers up to 10!
Analise had another great day!
