Lesson Outline
Today we began by Chase correcting the grammar and punctuation mistakes in the paragraph on the board. Then, Chase and I practiced using verb and adjectives by playing a basketball game with cards that had both verbs and adjectives. Chase had to decide which word went into either the verb hoop or the adjective hoop and record his answers on a recording sheet. Then, we continued practicing adjectives by completing a worksheet where Chase had to draw and color a picture of himself and write adjectives that describe him in the spaces provided. Chase practiced handwriting by rewriting a April's Fools joke making sure the words were spelled correctly, his letters were neat, and he used correct capitalization and punctuation. During math, Chase completed a daily math problem solver in which he did a great job with. Then,Chase watched a video from School House Rock on multiplying by fives. Finally, Chase completed a Easter multiplication worksheet practicing multiplying by fives and completing the secret message at the bottom of the worksheet.
