Becca was in a great mood this morning! She was excited about sleeping over Nana's last night! We began our session by completing two pages in Becca's "All About Me" book. Then, we completed a worksheet where Becca identified the -at pictures such as cat, rat, mat, and hat. After, Becca cut out the letters to build each -at word. She cut and glued the letters onto the worksheet. Last week, Becca and I began the story of "Hansel and Gretel." We continued this story today and Becca's re call of the story was very accurate. Together, we read the emergent reader to go along with the story and watched a short video of "Hansel and Gretel" on the iPad. With my assistance Becca cut out pictures to match the correct number during a counting activity and glued the pictures to the correct number word. In addition, Becca traced each number from 1-10 and the number words. Becca and I read a beginning reader story from Dr. Seuss titled "Where is Bear?" We read the story through twice and Becca was able to re call events in the story. We began our letter G unit and Becca completed the letter G on the starfall application. We discussed what sound the letter G makes and words that begin with the letter G. Also, Becca painted a picture of a giraffe, which we will hang up on her wall once it dries.. She did a wonderful job with this and followed directions very well. The directions were to only paint the giraffe's spots brown instead of the entire picture. She really enjoyed this activity! Becca chose from the treasure chest today because she asked to use the potty! So proud of her!
