Lesson Topic
The Dative Case
Lesson Outline
We practice the imperative by telling an imaginary German shepherd to sit, come, etc. We practice using the dative case by looking at the picture of a kitchen and saying where things are located in relation to other things. We talk about how frequently we go grocery shopping, cook, wash dishes, etc.
We pretend Michael won the lottery and is buying gifts for his friends and family, he says what he buys for whom, practicing the dative case. We look at a story in pictures in which Josef buys gifts for his family and Michael says what he buys for whom.

Lesson Comments
Michael now understands how to form a sentence in the imperative (both with the formal "Sie" and informal "du"). He understands the basics about the dative case. But we will need to practice the dative more. Michael was diligent, as always.
