Raquel and I went through Practice Exam 5, in preparation for her Test 5 that she will take either tomorrow or Monday. I suggested that if she practices enough tonight, and feels confident in the information, tomorrow we can review again and then she can take the exam tomorrow. I suggested if she spent her weekend studying, then she can take it on Monday. If she does not spend her weekend studying, then she should not wait until Monday because she will forget the information. I am proud of Raquel, because I can see that she is trying harder than before, and wants to learn the information. She is trying to get more organized (in her mathematical manipulation and life), and work through the problems carefully.

Raquel seems to wait until the last minute to get things done, and she is not doing very well in the class (she came to me very late). However, I am still proud that she has been putting more effort and realizing that she needs to focus more in class, and practice more at home. She is trying to get more organized with everything she does, and we are working on that not only in math but in her life. She can be a bit scattered in her thinking at times. She needs to focus on one thing at a time, take care of that, and then move on to the next. Like a checklist. If she continues in this pattern, I can see good things in her future.
