Sam started class playing a puzzle game with her current Hoot vocabulary words. Then we read Daedalus and Icarus from her Open Court reading textbook. At the close of the story we completed a "Storyboard" an assignment on the whiteboard, highlighting the main and secondary characters why they did the things they did to, their conflict and resolution. After that she practiced spelling of sight words and created study cards, The sight words spelling list was derived from an assessment she took during her morning Wilson reading class.
