Samantha completed a test on invertebrates. After her test, she and I began a project to explore the members of the phyla: Chordata. She wrote out the names of the different classes that populate the phyla. She also listed a few members of each class. We reviewed the classification system, and the different levels. I showed her the meme to remember how the system works: Keep Ponds Clean Or Frogs Get Sick helps us remember the Kingdom Phylum Class Order Family Genus Species. Homework: Learn the correct spelling of the five classes of the phyla Chordate: Amphibian, Reptile, Fish, Aves, Mammal.
