12:30 - 1:30; 60 min.
Science:
The circulatory system -
Samantha and I discussed the circulatory system. This is the system that moves blood through the body. We then examined blood, using a microscope. Samantha was intrigued with the microscope, so we also examined plant and animal cells for comparison. I described what it was like before we had invented the microscope and the things we now can learn about because we can look at very small things. We examined a mosquito proboscis, and a bee wing under the microscope, as I instructed the proper way to use the fine and course adjustment dials.
