Instructors have not been made familiar with this software, and Samantha has complete control over the computer. She, therefore, can exit out of the program at un-wise moment and close a lesson without finishing her work. She is also able to access the program properties, and spend a great deal of time changing her icons, etc. Further, I am not aware of what to expect during a class. The science program has her complete science activities. These activities require materials, as well as set-up and completion times, and asks the student to record her findings. It assumes Samantha has set-up and kept a science notebook. She has not. All of this will get better with time, but I wanted you, and her parents, to be aware.
