Lesson Topic
The planets to scale
Lesson Outline
We started on Gwendolyn's project today on the scale of the planets. Gwendolyn first drew circles representing each of the planets to scale: Jupiter, being the largest planet, had a scaled diameter of around 12 inches; on this scale, the Earth was only about 1 inch in diameter. The idea now is to paint the planets using real images as templates.

Lesson Comments
Gwendolyn appeared very relaxed today, and was quite chatty. She is bolder when making suggestions as to how we can tackle some of her work, and coming up with ideas of her own.
