The Joy of Statistics
Lesson Outline
Following our usual few minutes' discussion on the importance of various aspects of statistics and critical thinking, we continued watching Hans Rosling's 'The Joy of Statistics' documentary. As always, I pause the video from time to time to ensure that Jared has digested certain crucial concepts. In today's segment, Hans discussed very interesting facts on the history of statistics. The concept of normal distributions was also presented, also in a historical context which illuminated several fascinating angles to normal distributions.

Lesson Comments
Jared was again full of restlessness, and today he repeated that he was without his medication until next Thursday (when he sees his new doctor). He is full of anxieties regarding college etc, and often mentions he wants to learn (but then, in Algebra for example, he doesn't cooperate towards the learning process... I'm not chastising him for it, just pointing it out).
