Lesson Topic
Question Words, Occupations, Tongue Twisters
Lesson Outline
We practice questions. I have Michael complete questions with the missing verbs. Then I have him fill in the blanks of another text with the right question words. Then we play interviewer and interviewee and ask each other questions.
We look at pictures of people doing different occupations and learn names for the occupations in German. We talk about what the people do as part of their work.
We practice differenciating words with long and short vowels and we practice tongue twisters that have a lot of "Umlaute".

Lesson Comments
Practicing questions went well, but we still need to do more of that. Distinguishing between long and short vowels went extremely well. I was surprised since, for Spanish speakers, this tends to be very hard.
