World of Shapes
Lesson Outline
Loulie and I worked on the daily session routine, consisting of saying the alphabet, months of the year, days of the week, today's date and the weather.
With the help of some magnetic shapes we developed squares into cubes, triangles into pyramids, hexagons, and octagons. We then went on a hunt of similar shapes around the garden.
Louile painted a vase (matera) and made paper flowers that she decorated with sparkles and put them into the vase. She also added things she found around the garden to give it her final touch.

Lesson Comments
Louie engaged very nicely in the activity of creating different shapes. She also was curious about the project of elaborating the Vase, though she seemed a bit tired and disengaged from the activity. We were able to finish by the end of the session.
