The girls started the day reading the morning message and looking for the beginning letter in their name. They added pictures/words to their word wall and did interactive writing in their journals.(They are remembering what sound S makes.)
They re-read "Wocket in my Pocket" rhyming the words and then they played a round of "Bippity Boppity Boo" creating nonsense words to rhyme .
They practiced letter formation with play dough and then on paper, singing their writing song.
They made sound hats and we went on a sound hunt looking for "g", "l" and "d" sounds. We took pictures and will create a sound book.
Today they created AB patterns with manipulates and counted bands onto Popsicle sticks. Laina read herself a "Wocket in my Pocket" during book time and both girls enjoy "reading" around the room.
