Topic 12 Perimeter and Area
Lesson Outline
12-3 Perimeter
We learned that the distance around a polygon is its perimeter. The perimeter of a polygon can be computed by adding the lengths of all the sides.
12-4 Area of Squares and Rectangles
We learned that the amount of space inside a shape is its area. Area can be found using square units or formulas that exist for some polygons. The area of a square or rectangle is the length multiplied by the width.
