The history of Earth -
Today Chase watched the documentary film by National Geographic: The Story of Earth. This movie has been voted the best documentary ever. This film offers a fast pace demonstration of the most current approach to Earth’s history starting 4.5 billion years ago with the birth of the sun and the formation of the planets. Filmmakers used the most current discoveries that have revolutionized geology, and enabled scientists to envision Earth's iterations in vivid detail. The narrative describes how water and oxygen came to earth, how life began and how each of the past five extinction events changed the quality of life. It also vividly shows the cause and effects of natural climate change, meteoric events, and how important checks and balances in nature control living things.
