Hunter and I examined the Declaration of Independence and discussed basic ideas of democracy, natural rights, and limiting our government. We looked to several illustrations to explain these concepts and to SchoolHouse Rock "No More Kings." We discussed the Supreme Court, checks and balances, the Constitution and the amendments. We discussed democracy and the rule of law.
