Lesson Outline
Kelcy made a beautiful watercolor painting today in arts and crafts. He started with a piece of 11x14 heavyweight watercolor paper. Then, Kelcy used a white crayon to design his paper. Using watercolors, he worked in sections picking two or three complementary colors to fill the paper. Once one section was fully painted, Kelcy sprinkled the paint with salt and lightly sprayed the area with rubbing alcohol. The salt and rubbing alcohol made the paints bleed together while leaving a texture to the paint. Kelcy will keep working on this project with Ms. Courtney to be able to take it home on Friday.
