Today, Kelcy and I played Ten Go Fish using a deck of cards with the face cards removed and 4 zero cards added. We each were dealt seven cards with a draw pile in the middle. We took turns asking for cards that would make a ten if added to one of the cards in our hand. If the opposite player had the card a ten was made and laid down otherwise, it was a go fish. Kelcy used great mental math skills determining which cards were needed to make a ten. We have had a lot of fun working together and Kelcy's number sense and fluency have improved greatly. I will miss his big smile and fun attitude.
