BIBLE:--9:30-10:00--Isaiah 40:31A-- I read passage Isaiah 40:27-30. The focus of this passage was that G-d does not grow weary or tired, but we do because we are human. Macy ran in place for two minutes and noted that she was breathing harder and her heartbeat had increased. We discussed how we can trust G-d to "lift us up" (feel better) when we are feeling sad. We watched a short video titled "Isaiah 40:31 Kid's Song. MATH--10-11:00--Macy completed page 57B of her workbook. This page was a mixed review *Fill in missing numbers such as --- 62 --- --- --- --- --- 68 --- --- *the concept of one half *time to the hour *count by 2s to 20... She also completed page 58. The focus was on adding 1 to a number, subtracting 1, and a review of facts. We then discussed even and odd numbers, first using "counting bears," so Macy could "see" even and odd. I then wrote 0 2 4 6 8 Under this I wrote 1-- 1-- 1-- 1-- 1-- Macy filled in the numbers 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 We continued this way until we reached 100. We followed the same procedure for odd numbers, beginning with me writing 1 3 5 7 9 11:00-11:45--SOCIAL STUDIES/WRITING-- Macy's assignment was to write about the White House. First, we talked about what she already knew. We then looked at pictures of the White House. We learned some fun facts along the way, such as the White House has 132 rooms.Next, we located Washington, D.C. on a map of the United States. We created a "word bank" for Macy to use as she wrote her story. 11:45-12:00--READING--Macy read the book, "I Do Read."
