I subbed for Macy's bible class. We did Math instead - Friday's lesson. This lesson was a little difficult for Macy. It was a teacher led lesson, Macy took notes as I wrote on the board. We completed the practice set of questions together. Macy also completed the facts sheet L. It was on measurement and conversions.
Macy finished working on her artist recreation piece so that it was ready to be taken home. She fixed some spots she had missed last time and did an extra background coat of paint. Afterwards, we did a short lesson in drawing faces with the extra time we had.
ELA: Today Macy completed the unit 7 grammar assessment. She scored a 100% on this material covering adverbs and prepositions. Additionally, she took her spelling and vocabulary test, scoring a 100%. Latin: Macy completed page 85 in her workbook. She answered 17 questions of word study and grammar from the lesson. She then wrote the case names and 1st declension case endings. We reviewed a few errors throughout the word study portion. Bible: We read about Jesus and Nicodemus. Macy began a worksheet activity. She read several different Bible verses and wrote a summary of the meaning of each after discussion. History: Using her textbook, we read about inventors Robert Fulton, Samuel Morse, Thomas Edison, and Henry Ford. After reading each section, we orally reviewed the comprehension checks. The text also included an inspirational message from Thomas Edison with his statements about continuing to try even when things seemed impossible.

Lesson Comments
Today was Macy’s last day, which was originally scheduled for tomorrow, but they will not be attending classes tomorrow. Macy’s Bible and History teacher was absent. In an effort to send her back to her home school on track, I covered the Bible and History material and assigned literature to another teacher.
