Chase and I watched the second part of the movie: “An Inconvenient Sequel - truth to power”. This movie continues reporting on the science and politics surrounding the issue of climate change. This part of the film showed the process and work, conducted behind the scenes, between the president of India, the secretary of state (Jim Kerry), Al Gore, and some alternative energy corporate leaders. These few men found an agreement to provide India with the technology to promote green energy if they agree to not build the dozens of coal burning power plants. We discussed the quote: "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead.
