Chase and I watched a video that establishes the argument for embracing nuclear energy to stop global warming. We discussed why environmentalists that were opposed to nuclear energy would change their stance, and support this energy resource. We reviewed the pros and cons to fossil fuels, nuclear energy, and renewable energy, and included the timeline related to severe effects of global warming. Chase was challenged to form her own opinion on the subject. I then switched subjects and introduced a unit on geography. I had Chase answer a list of questions about maps to establish her knowledge of map reading. We then conducted an activity designed to educate students about latitude and longitude.
