Chase was tasked with completing the multiple-choice section of the 2008 APES test. This exercise gave her a sense of what the tone and level of questioning, and demonstrated that she had more knowledge of the subject than she was aware. We worked together on the few questions she was unsure. I reminded her to take a deep breath, and continue to breathe during the test, to read each question and make sure she understood what was being asked, and finally to use the process of elimination to find the answer. She finished the test, with our discussions and instruction, within the time limit of the upcoming test.
