Charlie began the session with a review of letter sounds. Words were built using the magnetic tiles. The words for today's lesson combined closed and vowel consonant e syllables. Charlie read the word cards and read all of the real words with east. For charting Charlie read all of the real words and 14/15 of the nonsense words correctly. For sentence reading, Charlie had to select the correct word to complete each sentence. He practiced spelling words using the syllable cards. For the final part of the lesson Charlie practiced reading and spelling sight words. Excellent day for Charlie.
