Charlie worked on his math facts using Math Man, an online math game similar to PacMan. There were some multiplications requiring two digit multipliers and so I introduced the idea of distributed mental multiplication. An example would be multiplying 14 times 6. I asked him what 6 X 4 was and he knew that it was 24. I then asked him what 6 X 10 was and he answered '60'. I told him to add the answers together to get 84. We also worked with area of geometric figures. There was no assignment.
