Lesson Outline
We began by going over the homework. Abby’s sentences, in French, were well written. Next, we went outside and Abby made entries to her journal. She identified the date; weather conditions; and her activities during the past weekend. She used the Passé Composé and did an excellent job. We returned to her room and did a review of the 5 tenses - their meanings and formation. She then began reading a new short story “Presque Mort”. Abby started a word bank. She read beautifully in French and instead of translating, I asked her questions in French. She answered all the questions 100% correct. She read, spoke and comprehended with ease. We completed the first chapter. For homework, she will write a 3-4 sentence summary.
