Will shared his final essay for Lynn University with me today. I am so pleased that he was able to complete this work, and he is delighted to have finished the application process for all three of the schools. Today, he worked on an assignment about mood and descriptive language that he started earlier. He worked very independently on this writing, and I have seen steady growth in his confidence. For homework, Will needs to revise and edit his description of his favorite room (the TV room) with a goal of using sensory details and graphic imagery so that the reader can visualize the room from his description. He should scan the room and make sure he has included all the details he needs so that the reader can paint a picture in his/her mind. In addition, he needs to describe the "mood" or essence of the room. He described it as a comfortable, and relaxing room so his word choices need to reinforce this, and he should mention some of the ways that he relaxes in that room.
