British Literature
Lesson Outline
Natalie continued studying British Literature (chronologically) to Horace Walpole and Mary Shelley. She has moved to Gothic Romanticism. She took an open-book test as she studied. I received homework, Evaluating the Thinking of an Author, that Natalie completed on the Hamlet criticism. We changed her essay prompt from analyzing that criticism to critiquing each of Hamlet's major decisions and actions following the encounter with his father's ghost, what she thinks he should have done, and if she agrees or disagrees with his decisions and actions. This will be supported by textual evidence. The essay is due next Thursday. We will also have a test on Hamlet next week now that Natalie has completed the reading and study sheets.
