Lesson Topic
Bill of Rights
Lesson Outline
Sam took a quiz on the Bill of Rights and the post Civil War Amendments. After she finished the quiz, I returned her take home test on the Civil Rights Movement, and she began to rewrite four of her incomplete answers to make them textually based on Martin Luther King's "Letter from Birmingham Jail". For homework, I assigned reading pages, 165-169, and 177-181 from the book, answering questions 1,4,& 5 on page 169, and completing the rewrite on the Civil Rights take home exam.

Lesson Comments
While I usually don't focus on tardiness, today I noted Sam's tardiness in the "Minutes Attended" section as this remains a persistent issue. Additionally, as we discussed ,I did not deduct any points from the take home test even though it was handed in late. However, even though we allowed her to hand in the paper late,it was still not completed.Sam offered as an explanation that she had "other homework". I have offered to work with Sam over the break to catch up her hours ,and we are discussing scheduling. Sam expressed a willingness to come in for extra classes.
