Lesson Topic
Point-Slope Form of an Equation
Lesson Outline
We actually worked on Algebra concepts in class today. The next topic for us to cover is a section on scatter plots and best fit of a line, so I needed to continue with the concepts Marcos has been learning in Algebra. I gave him specific examples of writing equations from lines in Point-Slope Form. He has to use 2 points on a graph to determine the slope of the line, then use a point and the slope to write the equation in point-slope form. We will then use this concept to find an equation of a reasonable trend line for scatter plots.
