Natalie is continuing to read The Heart of Darkness, using literary helps that I have provided in a workbook. As there was no production of materials from Natalie yet, I requested she read a bit more to a good stopping place, and the write a paragraph summary in which she explained the main points of the first portion. Next week we will look at some of her completed workbook materials, and I will do some of the close reading pages with her to move us forward a bit more quickly. Natalie should try to finish, or read a good deal of, this book before next week. I plan to give her a take-home test once finished.
