Today in our session, Will reviewed the 5 core concepts of media literacy. Next, we discussed the information he learned from an article entitled, "What is Media in the Digital Age?". He was able to determine the key details in the article and recognized that digital literacy evolved from media literacy. We also explored the idea that media can be the messenger, the medium or the message. Will understands that defining media in the digital space is like trying to shoot a "moving target". After discussing the article, we discussed the core concepts of digital literacy. For homework, Will needs to look over his class notes. He is doing a great job on this relevant and timely topic.
